It’s used for roofing, gazebos, tiki bars, and other outdoor structures to create a rustic, tropical, or traditional aesthetic.

The material is typically made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or other durable, synthetic plastics that are molded and colored to look like different types of natural thatch, such as African Cape Reed, Mexican palm, or Hawaiian Pili grass.
